PM Launches New Web Portal:
Prime Minister Imran Khan has launched a web portal under the ‘second phase’ of the Ehsaas labour Cash Programme to help people. Islamabad on Saturday, the PM said that anyone who has been recently unemployed because of the pandemic should “visit the website and register themselves”.
وزیر اعظم نے کہا کہ اندراج کرنے والوں کو یہ ثبوت فراہم کرنا ہوں گے کہ وہ کسی تنظیم میں کام کر رہے تھے۔ “میں سمجھتا ہوں کہ سبھی لوگ خود ہی یہ کام کرنے کے اہل نہیں ہوں گے ، لہذا میں چاہتا ہوں کہ نوجوان اور میری ٹائیگر فورس ایسے لوگوں کی شناخت کرے اور اندراج میں ان کی مدد کرے. ۔ “

انہوں نے کہا ، “اب تک اس کے تحت ملک بھر میں 6.8 ملین ضرورت مند خاندانوں میں 811 ارب روپے تقسیم کیے جاچکے ہیں۔” لہذا ہم تعمیراتی شعبے کو مراعات دے رہے ہیں تاکہ روز مرہ کی مزدوری کرنے والوں کی مدد کی جاسکے اور ان کو معاش کا ایک ذریعہ مہیا ہوسکے۔
PM Advised Pakistani People:
“We don’t know how long this pandemic will last for, but we know for sure that it is here for the next six months,” he said. “To fight this, it’s important that the public takes the responsibility of themselves and the people around them and work with the government”.
Most of the people affected by the virus don’t need to go to the hospital and can be quarantined at home, the prime minister said. “So people who test positive should self-quarantine, otherwise they will put other vulnerable people at risk,” The prime minister Imran Khan will launch a web portal in this regard.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad, Hammad Azhar said that a portal to provide relief worth Rs75 billion is being launched for lower-income people who have lost their income due to the lockdown.
The Ministry of Industries and Ehsaas labour Cash Programme will jointly launch this portal after getting approval from the federal cabinet, he added.
Why Peoples Lost their Jobs:
It must be noted that a survey conducted by Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN) revealed on Friday that at least 26 percent of women were terminated or suspended from their jobs during the ongoing coronavirus lockdown.
The statement read that a survey of working women revealed 26 percent of 904 respondents were terminated from their jobs after the announcement of the lockdown by the government. Of the workers who lost their jobs, 14 percent were permanently laid off while the services of the remaining 12 percent were temporarily suspended. The factory workers had the highest ratio among those whose jobs were terminated.
15 percent of women who said their jobs were terminated were from Sindh respondents, and three percent from Balochistan.

The survey was conducted in eight districts across the country including Faisalabad, Haripur, Lahore, Sialkot, Peshawar, Rahimyar Khan, Quetta, and Karachi between April 15-30.
